At Rakuppi (including our applications like PetLogs), we take your privacy extremely seriously. Our main development philosophy is simple: your data belongs to you.

1. No Server-Side Storage

Rakuppi applications are designed to be serverless and local-first. We do not own, rent, or run database servers that store your pet logs, food logs, personal schedules, or images. Everything you track is stored solely on your own device.

2. Local Storage (IndexedDB)

All information you input into Rakuppi apps is saved locally in your browser's IndexedDB database. This data is isolated to your browser sandbox and cannot be accessed by other websites or third parties. Clearing your browser data will delete this local database.

3. Bring Your Own Database (BYOD) & Cloud Sync

To synchronize logs across multiple devices, our applications offer an optional cloud sync feature using your own Google Drive:

  • Authorization: When you authorize sync, the application requests access to read and write files inside a dedicated Rakuppi/PetLogs folder on your Google Drive.
  • No Intermediaries: The sync connection is established directly between your browser client and Google API endpoints. Your authentication tokens and raw files never pass through or get shared with Rakuppi.
  • Full Control: You can revoke our application's access to your Google Drive at any time directly through your Google Account security settings.

4. Third-Party Analytics & Tracking

We do not use third-party tracking scripts, advertising SDKs, cookies, or telemetry systems (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) to monitor your activity. We do not track what features you use, how many pets you log, or how often you access the apps.

5. Updates to This Policy

As Rakuppi expands with more cozy local-first apps, we may update this policy. Any changes will be posted here on our mainhub portal.
